Our research is dedicated to exploring fundamental molecular mechanisms and novel treatment strategies for neurodegenerative diseases, with a primary focus on Alzheimer's disease. We delve into the clearance mechanisms of toxic peptides through the blood-brain barrier, employ new imaging techniques, study mitochondrial function, and investigate neuroimmunological mechanisms. Our scope extends beyond Alzheimer's to encompass other neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's, Huntington's, ALS, and other brain proteopathies. In addition to fundamental scientific inquiry, we actively seek to identify dietary and pharmacological interventions for treating neurodegenerative diseases. We are keenly interested in studying the beneficial effects of herbal extracts for Alzheimer's prevention and treatment. If you want to collaborate with us, please reach out.
